Statement on Diversity

We are committed to cultivating a people-centered environment that is welcoming to the spectrum of differences among us in an atmosphere of respect and fairness. Accordingly, our staff, Board of Trustees, volunteers and donors will work together to create a more representative, equitable and inclusive KU Endowment.

We hold fast to four core values:

They serve as KU Endowment’s navigation points for all we do and who we are in accomplishing our mission. As our nation confronts acts of racism and violence, we are redoubling our commitment to foster a culture of inclusivity and respect in all we do. The recent incidents of racial violence are a stark reminder that inequities are reflected in too many of our systems and institutions. 

In the weeks and months to come, we will continue our efforts to better understand those factors that have led us to this point in history. We are working closely with our Diversity & Inclusion Workgroup and other external sources to identify ways all of our team members, regardless of their background, can learn more about the issues facing People of Color. Our hope is that by creating a safe space that fosters education and dialogue, our team members will feel empowered enough to begin taking the necessary steps to address the issues that have plagued our society for far too long.
