Donors are recognized by the Chancellors Club based on annual and lifetime giving, in most cases in the form of unrestricted support.
While most donors to KU Endowment direct their gift to a specific campus purpose, others provide unrestricted support to the Greater KU Fund to allow KU to take advantage of its greatest opportunities and address its most pressing needs.
Donors are recognized by the Chancellors Club based on annual and lifetime giving, in most cases in the form of unrestricted support. Employer-matching gifts may enable you to increase your contribution. Find out if your employer is one of them.
(Unrestricted giving recognition levels)
Chancellors: $1,000
Patrons: $3,000
Benefactors: $5,000
Ambassadors: $10,000
(Cumulative lifetime giving levels, either restricted or unrestricted, or a combination of both)
Hill Society: $100,000 or more
Outlook Society: $500,000 or more
Mount Oread Society: $1 Million or more
If you are 70½ or greater, you can make a tax-free gift to the Greater KU Fund by donating IRS Required Minimum Distributions directly from your IRA to KU Endowment.
KU faculty, staff and employees of university affiliates can use payroll deduction and direct their support to the Greater KU Fund or a specific KU school or program.
As a donor at any Chancellors Club level you will have the satisfaction of knowing your support will positively impact KU by elevating the daily lives of the students and faculty at the heart of KU itself. You will also be invited to join the chancellor, alumni and friends at special regional donor events held across the nation throughout the year.
