One Day One KU Student Video Contest

Enter for the chance to win $500 for your student organization!

 

Grab your phone, get creative and go viral! Create a video to share what you love most about KU, and tell others why they should join our 24 hours of giving. Then, post your video on social media. 

The four students who submit the highest performing videos will be eligible to receive $500 to donate to the KU cause of their choice!

How to Enter:

  • CREATE a video to spread the word about One Day One KU and the powerful impact it has on the university. Be sure your video fulfills the contest requirements

  • POST your video on Instagram, Facebook and/or TikTok by Tuesday, April 28, at noon CT.  

  • TAG people so they can find your video; encourage your friends and followers to like, comment, and share your post. 

  • SUBMIT your video by Wednesday, April 29, at 5 p.m. CT along with screenshots of performance data (total likes, comments and shares) from the platforms on which it was posted.

Contest Requirements

  • Videos must be at least 15 seconds in length and posted publicly one or more of these platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok.  
  • Videos must include the dates of One Day One KU (April 28-29, noon to noon CT) and link to ku.edu/onedayoneku. 
  • Performance data must be organic. If posted on multiple platforms, likes, comments and shares will be totaled to determine contest winners. Paid reach will not be counted. 
  • Only entries received by Wednesday, April 29, at 5 p.m CT will be eligible.
  • Student organizations are allowed only one entry. Multiple entries by the same organization from different accounts, devices or identities will be disqualified. 
  • Your submission must be original content created by you. Do not include copyrighted materials (music, images, video clips, etc.) unless you have the rights or proper license/permission. 
  • Entries that are incomplete, obscene, defamatory or otherwise in violation of these rules will be disqualified. If you wouldn’t want Chancellor Girod to see you doing it, we don’t want to see it either. 

Winners will be notified via the email address provided on the entry form. Winners must respond within 48 hours to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond in time, their win may be forfeited and another winner may be selected. 

By entering the contest, all participants accept and agree to abide by these official rules and the decisions of the organizer, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the contest.
