Can't afford to make a payment?

Request for Hardship Forbearance: Download the Request for Forbearance to temporarily suspend your loan payments. You may request up to six months for the forbearance period. If your account is delinquent the forbearance will be applied retroactively to bring your account current. Interest will continue to accrue during the forbearance period, and any interest that has accrued prior to and during your forbearance period will be capitalized after your forbearance period has ended.  

Request for Residency/Internship/Fellowship Deferment: You may request a Residency/Internship/Fellowship Deferment to cover the length of your program. All deferment requests must be properly certified by your program supervisor. Interest will continue to accrue during the deferment period; however you are not required to make payments during the deferment period.

Request for Reduced Payment: Please contact Launch Servicing at (877) 354-2629 to discuss your options for a reduced payment. You must continue to make your reduced payment every month. If payments are not received for three months, the reduced payment will be removed and the original payment amount will be reinstated and you will be responsible for paying this amount in addition to any past due balance.
