Below is an outreach calendar outlining KU Endowment solicitations and donor touchpoints throughout the year, along with opportunities for your unit to engage directly with donors. Please note that dates are subject to change.

August 24 | Stewardship & Impact Email sent by KU Endowment featuring campus leaders; sent to all Deans Club, Chancellors Club, KU Cancer Discovery Alliance and Presidents Club donors, thanking donors for their support at the $1,000+ level. |
September 15 | Solicitation Direct Mail and Follow Up Emails sent by KU Endowment; sent to all Deans Club, Chancellors Club, KU Cancer Discovery Alliance and Presidents Club donors; ask is for school/unit specific renewed support at the $1,000+ level. |
November 2026 | STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITY – Schools and units are encouraged to send their own mail, email or ThankView to leadership-level donors, thanking them for their ongoing support. See toolkit for suggested links, donor information, and messaging to include. |
December 2026 | Calendar Year End Solicitation Direct Mail and Follow Up Emails sent by KU
Endowment; sent to donors of all giving levels who have not renewed support yet
this fiscal year, ask is for continued support for all areas at KU. |
February 10 | Solicitation Email sent by KU Endowment; sent to Deans Club, Chancellors Club,
KU Cancer Discovery Alliance and Presidents Club donors who have not renewed
their support in the current fiscal year. Ask is for school/unit specific renewal at
the $1,000+ level. |
March 9-10 | One Day One KU – Giving Day the university’s 24 hours of giving, noon to noon. Donors will receive messaging leading up to the day encouraging donors to
support the area at KU most meaningful to them. |
March 2027 | STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITY – Schools and units are encouraged to send their
own mail, email or ThankView to leadership-level donors of $1,000+, thanking
them for their ongoing support. See toolkit for suggested links, donor information,
and messaging to include. |
April 2027 | Spring Solicitation Direct Mail and Email Follow Ups sent by KU Endowment; sent
to all donors; ask is for continued support of the KU area most meaningful to the
donors. |
May 2027 | STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITY – Schools and units are encouraged to send their
own mail, email or ThankView to leadership-level donors of $1,000+, thanking
them for their ongoing support. See toolkit for suggested links, donor information,
and messaging to include. |
June 2027 | Final Fiscal Year End Solicitation Direct Mail and Email Follow Ups, sent by KU
Endowment. Sent to all donors, including Deans Club, Chancellors Club, KU
Cancer Discovery Alliance and Presidents Club, who have not renewed their
support in the current fiscal year. |
