Live just steps from Jayhawk Boulevard! Sprague Apartments, traditionally reserved for retired faculty and staff at the University of Kansas, is opening up rental opportunities for current faculty and staff. The apartments are available to those who have been full-time university employees for at least five years, with a preference given to retirees of the university.

The three-story, mid-century modern red brick building at 1400 Lilac Lane is tucked behind Danforth Chapel on the KU campus. Owned and operated by KU Endowment, it was built in 1960 after a bequest from Elizabeth Sprague, head of KU’s home economics department from 1914 to 1941.

One- and two-bedroom apartments are available. Monthly rent for a one-bedroom unit is $850; monthly rent for a two-bedroom unit is $900. Rent includes utilities except cable/internet. No pets allowed.
