A gift to KU, made in another’s name, can be the perfect present for a person who needs no more “stuff.” Holiday, birthday or anniversary gifts are easy to arrange. We can send the honoree a birthday or all-occasion card detailing your gift or, if you prefer, we can send the card to you to be sent on with your personal message. You may wish to honor someone with a KU connection, such as a fondly recalled professor, a special physician or nurse, or a college friend. We send acknowledgements of honorary gifts to the living honorees.
Families often request that memorial donations be made to KU Endowment, but such gifts are appropriate without a public request. We supply each donor’s name to the family, keeping individual gift amounts confidential. When appropriate, we discuss with the family how the university will best use the gifts.
